The trial date for a former Glencoe businessman accused of swindling lenders out of hundreds of thousands of dollars has been set. An evidentiary hearing for 48-year-old Bryan Koepp was held earlier this week, and the judge agreed to grant a continuance in the case while Koepp’s attorney reviews several boxes of evidence. Koepp’s jury trial was also scheduled to begin on May 14th in McLeod County. He has been charged with a total of 8 counts of felony theft by swindle over allegations that obtained over $388,000 in loans through false representation while he was the owner of the Glencoe Garden Center. The crimes reportedly occurred over a 2-year period, and involved multiple victims. Koepp faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
