Authorities have released the identities of the 3 people with ties to New Ulm that were found dead in San Antonio, Texas this week in an apparent double-murder suicide. New Ulm Police had asked San Antonio police to conduct a welfare check on J&R Schugel truck-driving team Herbert and Mary Rishell on Thursday after the 2 hadn’t been heard from since March 9th. They had been contract drivers for J&R Schugel for over a decade. When police went to their San Antonio home Thursday morning they found the 76-year-old man and 67-year-old woman dead, as well as their 45-year-old son, George Rishell. Investigators believe that Herbert Rishell shot the other two before shooting himself, and say that the bodies had been there “for a while.” The deaths remain under investigation.
