A 73-year-old Kilkenny woman was injured in a car accident on Highway 60 in Rice County Thursday afternoon. Shirley Friese was driving a Dodge Caravan westbound on 60 when the vehicle left the road at about 3:20pm and hit a field approach. The State Patrol says the Friese was suffering from low blood sugar prior to the crash. She was wearing a seatbelt, and was taken to the Faribault Hospital with minor injuries. Her vehicle was totaled. The crash remains under investigation.
