A Mapleton woman who struck a deer on Highway 169 Friday morning has reportedly died from her injuries. It happened at just after 6:30am in Faribault County near Winnebago. 45-year-old Catherine Treanor was driving a Kia Sedan southbound when the deer smashed through her front windshield and travelled through the car and out the back windshield. Treanor then lost control of the vehicle and it hit a utility pole. She was flown to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, and has reportedly passed away. The Winnebago Police and Fire Departments and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
