A 6-year-old boy was killed in a car accident on Highway 4 in Martin County Sunday morning. 26-year-old Alicia Tapia of Fairmont reportedly lost control of the Jeep 4-door wagon she was driving at just after 8am and the vehicle went off the road and rolled. Tapia and a 4-year-old passenger both suffered serious injuries. A 9-year-old took minor injuries, and 6-year-old Amonte King was pronounced dead at the Fairmont Hospital. The Jeep was totaled. The accident remains under investigation.
