Students who returned to school in New Prague on Thursday following a fake call about a shooting on Wednesday were evacuated again because of a bomb threat. New Prague middle school students were sent to the ice arena after the district received emails Thursday morning stating that bombs had been placed around the building and would detonate within 30 minutes. The school was searched, and no bombs were found and students returned to class after about an hour. This came just a day after a 12-year-old boy allegedly called 911 to report a shooter on campus with an assault rifle. Authorities determined that call was a hoax, but not before hundreds of students were locked in their classrooms while dozens of law enforcement officers searched the multi-building campus. The boy was arrested and faces multiple charges. Authorities are still working to determine the exact origin of Thursday’s threatening emails , but they do not believe they were sent by a New Prague Area student.
