The Wild start a brief two-game homestand tonight against the Vancouver Canucks. Coverage begins at 6:30pm, face off at 7pm on 860 AM KNUJ. Minnesota will then host Nashville on Saturday before traveling to Calgary next Monday. The Wild have lost two in-a-row following road losses in Anaheim and most recently Phoenix on Monday. They are now 4-4-and-1 on the season.
Looking to spark some offense, Wild head coach Mike Yeo for the first time since the season started broke up the top line of Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and Dany Heatley. Instead, rookie Charlie Coyle was placed on the top unit with Parise and Koivu while Heatley was moved to the second line to join Matt Cullen and Pierre-Marc Bouchard. Yeo said he wouldn’t commit to those line combos for Thursday night’s game against Vancouver but didn’t rule it out either.
