Twins Lose to Rays 25 Feb 13

The Twins rallied with five runs in the ninth inning to tie yesterday’s home opener 7-7 and send it to extra innings. Tampa Bay then plated three runs in the top of the tenth and held on to win 10-7. Brandon Boggs belted a three-run homer for Minnesota to help push the game to the extra frame. Twins starting pitcher Liam Hendriks was solid, allowing a run on two hits in two innings. The Twins play Pittsburgh today in Fort Myers with Vance Worley getting the starting nod for Minnesota.
