The search for a new superintendent for the Sibley East School District continues, and the list of potential candidates for the job has now been narrowed down to 4 semi-finalists. Retired Sibley East Superintendent John Langenbrunner is serving as the district’s interim superintendent this school year after former superintendent Stephen Jones went to the Little Falls School District. A total of 20 applications for the position were received. The 4 semi-finalists are: Sibley East High School Principal Jim Amsden, Houston, Minnesota Superintendent Jean Broadwater, Jordan Elementary Principal Stacy DeCorsey, and Waconia Assistant High School Principal Judith Nagel. The Sibley East School Board approved the list of semi-finalists this week, and interviews will now get underway next week. The hope is to have a contract signed for a new Sibley East Superintendent by February 19th. There are a total of 25 superintendent searches currently underway in the State of Minnesota.
