Fresh snowfall on top of the slushy mess left behind from the weekend snowstorm is making driving a challenge in much of the state this (MON) morning. The weekend storm covered much of Minnesota, with 3 to 4 inches in some spots and as much as a foot in others and high winds blowing the fresh flakes around and seriously reducing visibility for drivers. The State Patrol says there were about 240 crashes across the state on Sunday, and another 400 spinouts and ditched cars. Blowing and drifting snow is expected to be a problem today. A Blizzard Warning is in effect until Noon for western and west-central Minnesota, including Renville and Redwood Counties. The rest of the KNUJ area is under a Winter Weather Advisory.
