Minnesota Gun Control Debate 11 Feb 13

State lawmakers are taking a short break from the gun-control debate. After last week’s marathon hearings in the Minnesota House, a key Senate committee isn’t scheduled to take up companion bills until next week. House Speaker Paul Thissen says he remains hopeful that continuing conversations on gun bills will lead to a consensus about public safety. But House Republican Minority Leader Kurt Daudt says he doesn’t necessarily think there will be consensus on gun legislation, especially when growing the economy and creating jobs also remain top priorities.
