A total of 127 people have now died from the flu in Minnesota since the start of the influenza season in October. Over the past week there were another 15 deaths reported from the flu in Minnesota, and 108 people were hospitalized. State health officials say 19 schools and one nursing home reported outbreaks last week as well, including a school in Sibley County and one in Blue Earth County. Besides getting a flu shot, the best way to protect yourself from influenza is regular hand washing and getting plenty of rest. More than 2,600 Minnesotans have been hospitalized with the flu so far this season.
