The Minnesota House Transportation Finance Committee is discussing the 4-lane expansion of Highway 14 from New Ulm to Mankato today (WED), as a pair of bills dealing with funding the long sought after project work their way through the Legislature. This Friday the public will have a chance to weigh in on Highway 14 as well with a “Transportation Roundtable Lunch” that’s being held in Mankato. New Ulm Mayor and Highway 14 Partnership Vice President Bob Beussman says that the Chair of the House Transportation Finance Committee, Representative Frank Hornstein will be leading the Roundtable discussion, and New Ulm business leaders should attend. Anyone interested in attending the free roundtable discussion needs to RSVP atwww.greatermankato.com/public-affairs-events by the end of the day today (WED). Lunch will be provided. The Highway 14 bills in the Legislature call for the 4-lane expansion to remain on Mn/DOT’s 20-year plan until completed and designate funding for the work.
