Highways across the local area are now open this (TUE) morning, although officials say that blizzard conditions and areas of limited visibility may persist in some locations. Hazardous and difficult driving conditions are being reported in some areas still as well. Numerous vehicles went off the road Monday night, and Mn/DOT pulled its plows until this morning after closing multiple highways around the region. When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. For updated information on road conditions, visit www.511mn.org, or call 511.
