Cream of Broccoli Soup 04 Feb 13

1 medium onion, chopped
6 tbsp butter
6 tbsp flour
1 – 32oz can chicken broth
1 – 20oz frozen broccoli, chopped & thawed
1 cup milk
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 tsp pepper

Brown onion in butter until tender. Add flour, stirring well and gradually stir in broth and broccoli. Cook over medium heat until tender; stirring frequently. Reduce heat, stir in milk, cream of chicken soup and pepper.
