Wild Players Get Ready For Camp 12 Jan 13

The Minnesota Wild are scheduled to skate today in a private team workout at the Xcel Energy Center. Training camp will start this weekend for most NHL teams. The NHL lockout has forced an abbreviated regular season, which will start a week from tonight. The lockout figures to come to an end today when the players officially ratify the new collective bargaining agreement. There will be no preseason games, as teams will go straight from training camp into the shortened regular year. The Wild are expected to open the season at home against Colorado on January 19th, which is also “Hockey Day In Minnesota.”
