Southern Minnesota Congressman Tim Walz will be the ranking Democrat on the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation, Energy, and Forestry. Walz says he looks forward to working with both Democrats and Republicans in promoting energy independence, and that he wants to ensure that wildlife and hunting habitats are protected for “generations to come.” The Subcommittee works on a multitude of programs, including: soil, water, and resource conservation; energy and bio based energy production; and forestry reserves and forestry. Walz will also serve on the General Farm Commodities and Risk Management Subcommittee.
