State revokes Hauer’s foster care license 14 Jan 13

The parents accused of starving their eight-year-old son have had their child foster care license revoked. The Minnesota Department of Human Services says the license for Russell and Mona Hauer has been pulled. The Hauers spent last week going through a trial that provided District Court Judge Todd Westphal information needed to determine of they should keep their parental rights. The rural North Mankato couple is facing criminal charges for allegedly allowing their 8-year-old adopted son to become so malnourished that he had to spend about a month in the hospital.
