A St. Peter man charged with kidnapping and assault for an incident with his former girlfriend last year pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats on Tuesday and the other charges were dismissed. The terroristic threats charge was from 29-year-old Nielsen Francis Ove threatening the woman’s mother. He had been accused of abducting his girlfriend and holding her captive for around 45 minutes while assaulting her. She was reportedly attempting to end their relationship at the time. Ove will likely receive only probation for the terroristic threats plea deal. His attorney says that the other charges against him were dropped mainly because there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him.
