PUC Water Tower Committee 22 Jan 13

The New Ulm Public Utilities Commission will be moving forward today (TUE) with a plan to build a new water tower in Nehl’s Park in New Ulm. The PUC will be selecting one of its member to serve on the “Nehl’s Park Elevated Storage Tank Aesthetics Committee.” The group will be responsible for choosing the design aspects of the new water tower, which will replace the aging tower at Hermann Heights Park which supplies much of the water for the New Ulm hilltop area. The new committee will consist of four members: a representative from the PUC, one from the New Ulm Park and Rec Department, a New Ulm City Councilor, and a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources representative. Today’s Public Utilities Commission meeting begins at 5pm at New Ulm City Hall.
