The New Ulm District 88 School Board holds its first meeting of the New Year this (THU) evening. The meeting will begin with newly-elected board members Sharon Gieseke, Jill Hulke and Matt Ringhofer taking the oath of office. The board will then elect its officers for the year and assign board members to committee posts. The meeting will then consist of discussions on Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards, the administrative recruitment process, and the allocation of the funds generated by the levy approved by district voters this past November. The meeting begins at 5pm at the District Administrative Center in New Ulm.
