The search for a new superintendent for New Ulm District 88 schools moves into the public input phase today (TUE). Superintendent Harold Remme is retiring at the end of the school year, and the search for his replacement is being led by the South Central Service Cooperative Superintendent Search Program. The public is being invited to help create a profile of what attributes the community is looking for in a new superintendent, and a community meeting with the co-op consultants is taking place at 6:30pm today (TUE) in the District 88 School Board Room on the second floor of the District Administrative Center in New Ulm. An electronic questionnaire is available on the school district’s website as well for those who cannot attend the meeting. Applications for the District 88 superintendent position are being accepted through March 1st, with interviews then taking place throughout March and action on a new superintendent contract expected on either March 28th or April 11th.
