There’s been a dramatic increase in gasoline prices in southern Minnesota over the past week or so. The average retail price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in our area has risen by over 15-cents, and now averages $3.09 per-gallon in New Ulm. The state average is $3.11. That’s compared to the $2.94 a gallon we were paying in Minnesota just 2 weeks ago. The national average is now at $3.26 a gallon. The lowest gas price in the country can be found in Laramie, Wyoming, where unleaded will cost you only $2.35 a gallon.
