A 17-year-old from Eagle Lake was killed Wednesday when her car ran off the road and rolled down a steep embankment before coming to rest at the edge of the Le Sueur River. Hannah Gamble had been reported missing Wednesday morning after she didn’t show up for school. Blue Earth County authorities were called when a passerby noticed skid marks leaving the roadway, and officers searched the area and found Gamble’s car down on the riverbank. She was found dead in the car. The State Patrol says Gamble was wearing her seatbelt, but the crash was not survivable. The icy road was apparently the main factor in the crash. Grief counselors will be on hand for St. Clair School District students today (THU).
