A former area school bus driver found guilty of molesting a 5-year-old girl has been sentenced to a year in jail and 10 years of supervised probation for the crime. 64-year-old Loren Patrick Eisenbarth of Morgan was a van driver for a company providing transportation for the Cedar Mountain School District when the incident occurred last January. He was found guilty of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct in a trial last month for inappropriately touching the special needs child, but was acquitted on a 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. In addition to the jail and probation time, Eisenbarth will also be required to register as a predatory sex offender and complete and follow the recommendations of a psycho-sexual evaluation. He can also have no contact with females under the age of 18, and is prohibited from transporting any children under 18. A 36-month prison sentence was stayed during Monday’s sentencing hearing.
