St. Louis forward Vladimir Sobotka’s overtime tally lifted the Blues past the Wild 5-4 last night in St. Louis. The Wild scored three second period goals to take a 3-1 lead, but the Blues responded with three straight markers to take a 4-3 lead. Minnesota’s Dany Heatley sent the game to overtime with a goal in the third. Zach Parise scored two goals for the Wild, who fell to 2-2-and-1 on the season, picking up one point in the standings with last night’s showing. Niklas Backstrom made 29 saves in the loss. Minnesota is back home tomorrow night for a game against Columbus at the Xcel Energy Center. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
