Two people were injured in a car crash in New Ulm Thursday afternoon. It happened at just after 12:30pm on North Broadway at the intersection with 9th North Street. A northbound Chevy Silverado driven by 17-year-old Zachary Schreiner of New Ulm had apparently come to a sudden stop and was rear-ended by a northbound Chrysler Seebring driven by 21-year-old Ashley Rykhus of New Ulm. Rykhus and a passenger in the Schreiner vehicle, 16-year-old Annalisha Schmidt of New Ulm, were both taken to the New Ulm Medical Center with minor injuries. No one else was hurt. The Seebring was totaled and the Silverado took moderate damage. The New Ulm Police Department assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
