Terroristic Threats Guilty Plea 12 Dec 12

A rural Vernon Center man accused of threatening his father with a sword avoided a jury trial on Monday when he pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats. 25-year-old Timothy Truebenbach was arrested after allegedly raising a sword over his head and swinging it at his father during an argument. Truebenbach’s mother told authorities that her son had refused to get help. He has prior convictions for domestic assault on 2 occasions. Charges of 2nd-degree assault will be dismissed in exchange for the terroristic threats guilty plea, and Truebenbach is expected to be sentenced in February.
