1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp soda
2 tsp cream of tartar

Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, soda and cream of tartar. Add flour and mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
