The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a St. James man that occurred over the weekend. Authorities were called out to Long Lake Township in Watonwan County at around 8:45 Saturday morning on a report of an unresponsive male in a tree stand, and 46-year-old Daron Dennis Hunstad was taken to the St. James Mayo Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities believe that he died from natural causes. The Odin-Ormsby First Responders and St. James Ambulance assisted at the scene.
