A 25-year-old Sleepy Eye man faces felony charges for allegedly attempting to outrun police during a traffic stop. Glenn A. Kotten was spotted “making an aggressive turn and accelerating faster than normal” by a Sleepy Eye Police Officer at shortly after Midnight on Saturday. When the officer attempted to pull Kotten over he went to flee, but crashed his car in a ditch. He reportedly passed certain field sobriety tests, but refused a breath test and was taken to the Brown County Detox and his vehicle was impounded. On Tuesday Kotten was charged with felony fleeing police as well as reckless driving, careless driving, and speeding.
