Flags are flying at half-staff in Minnesota today (WED) in honor of Cold Spring Police Officer Tom Decker, and around 2,000 law enforcement officers from around the country are expected to attend the funeral services in Collegeville. Decker was shot and killed last Thursday while responding to a welfare check. The suspect in Decker’s murder, 34-year-old Ryan Larson, was released from custody on Tuesday. Authorities determined there was not “sufficient documented evidence” to continue to keep Larson in jail. Investigators continue to search for the 20-gauge shotgun that was used to kill Officer Decker.
