The Minnesota Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity held a dedication ceremony for its 9th home in New Ulm Saturday morning. The new home in New Ulm’s Milford Heights is going to Niki Gendron and Lonnie Bronstad and their 5 children. Minnesota Valley Habitat For Humanity Executive Director Sarah Rotering says that a lot of hard work went into the home, with the family itself putting in over 200 hours of work. Rotering says that numerous donations came from local area businesses as well. The family expects to move into the home right after Christmas. Rotering says that their next project will likely involve “rehabbing” a pre-existing home in New Ulm, with new construction then taking place again in 2014.
