November held some higher-than-normal temperatures for much of the state. But state climatologist Greg Spoden says one of the big stories weather-wise was the ongoing drought. Spoden says with low amounts of winter precipitation, combined with the ground freezing, there will likely be little change to the drought status in the winter months. New Ulm received only 85-hundredths of an inch of precipitation throughout November. The high temperature for the month in New Ulm was 72-degrees on the 11th. The coldest days of the month were the 24th and 25th, when the temp dropped down to 7-degrees.
