The ongoing NHL labor negotiations are expected to continue this week. Talks between NHL owners and players broke down last Thursday, but NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said Sunday the sides were in communication about resuming talks. Daly added that they are looking at setting something up this week but nothing is scheduled yet. The lockout is nearing the three-month mark and is costing the NHL between 18 and 20-million-dollars per day. The labor dispute has already forced the cancellation of 422 regular season games, the Winter Classic and NHL All-Star Weekend. Minnesota was to have played last night in Anaheim in what would have been the 27th regular season game.
