MN Students Among World’s Best 12 Dec 12

A sample of 2,500 Minnesota eighth graders tested among the best in the world in technical subjects, ranking sixth-highest in science and seventh-highest in math. State education officials say the scores place Minnesota at the top of the pack, along with Korea, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Japan and the state of Massachusetts. Officials say Minnesota eight-graders’ test scores in math have increased on average 5% since 1995, while there’s been a 3% increase in science scores.
