A rural Starbuck man has pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular operation for a July crash that killed the five-month-old son of Southwest Minnesota State University basketball coach Brad Bigler. Thirty-eight-year-old Dana Schoen admitted he was driving drunk when his pickup struck an SUV driven by Heather Bigler of Marshall. Bigler’s infant son, Drake, died in the head-on collision. Brad Bigler and his wife’s grandmother suffered serious injuries as well. The plea deal calls for a four-year prison term for Schoen. A sentence hearing is scheduled for January 25th.
