State lawmakers return to the Minnesota Capitol in just over a month for the 2013 Legislative session. It’s a budget year, but Political Analyst Shawn Towle predicts that lawmakers will also approve a bonding bill in excess of a billion-dollars. Democrats will have the majority, but still need Republicans’ help to pass bonding legislation, and Towle thinks they’ll get it because of the pent-up demand for the projects. Towle predicts that Rochester, St. Cloud and Mankato will get money for their proposed convention center upgrades in 2013 as part of a bonding bill.
