Heavy Snow Falls Statewide 10 Dec 12

The City of New Ulm declared a Snow Emergency this (MON) morning as crews dug out from the more-than 8-inches of snow that fell over the weekend. Snowfall amounts vary across the state, with areas to the west and north of New Ulm receiving over a foot of fresh snow. Travel remained sketchy across most of Minnesota as of this morning. The State Patrol has reportedly responded to nearly 600 car accidents following this first real winter storm of the season.
