The City of Glencoe is holding its annual “Holly Days” festivities over the next week, and it includes what is being called one of the region’s largest lighted Christmas parades. Holly Days highlights this Saturday include a Glencoe Historic Preservation Society Holiday Open House from 9 to 2 at the Glencoe City Center, kid’s activities from 2 to 4 at the community’s outdoor ice rink, and the Glencoe Lions Lighted Parade, which gets underway at 6pm. The Holly Days activities continue into next week, with a Christmas Jubilee with Santa and his reindeer Thursday evening at Coburn’s, as well as guided tours of Glencoe’s holiday lights, and more activities next Saturday, including a snow sculpture contest, a live nativity, and more. A schedule of the Holly Days events can be found on the website www.glencoemn.org.
