The number of confirmed cases of influenza in Minnesota continues to rise. The state Health Department reports that 30 people were hospitalized with the flu over the past week, bringing the statewide total up to 105 hospitalizations now since the flu season began in October. A total of 12 schools and 3 long-term nursing homes, including one in Le Sueur County, reported outbreaks in the latest period as well. No one in the state has died from influenza so far this season.
