DWI Holiday Patrols Continue 18 Dec 12

Minnesota Law Enforcement officials continue to conduct extra DWI patrols all this week, and throughout the rest of the holiday season. Over the last three Decembers there were a total of 28 people killed in drunk driving crashes on Minnesota roadways, and nearly 7,500 were arrested for DWI. Local State Patrol Spokesperson Sergeant Jaclyn Sticha says that planning ahead is a key way in which to have a safe holiday. She warns that exhaustion from a busy holiday schedule can lead to impaired driving as well, and that if a driver becomes tired they should simply get off the road and get some rest.
