State Senator Gary Dahms is preparing for the upcoming legislative session, and the Republican from Redwood Falls has now received his committee assignments for the 2013 session. Dahms will serve as the top Republican member on the Senate Jobs, Agriculture and Rural Development Committee. He was also appointed to the Senate’s Commerce Committee, and the State Departments and Veterans Division and the E-12 Education Division of the Senate Finance Committee. Dahms was re-elected in November to the newly reconfigured Senate District 16 which includes Brown, Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Lyon, Redwood, Renville and Yellow Medicine counties.
