Crash Near Wells Turns Fatal 12 Dec 12

A Mankato man critically injured in a head-on crash near Wells Monday afternoon has died from his injuries. Highway 109 east of Wells was closed for around 2 hours following the collision that injured an Albert Lea man and left 49-year-old Ronald Hinderman in critical condition. Hinderman died early Tuesday at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. 23-year-old Jared Bowman of Albert Lea was driving a GMC Sierra eastbound when he collided head-on with the westbound Chevy Cavalier driven by Hinderman. The crash occurred at about 12:45pm Monday. Bowman was treated at the Albert Lea Hospital following the crash, and has since been released. Both vehicles were totaled.
