As the Vikings continue in their quest for a playoff berth, officials are encouraging fans to be on the lookout for counterfeit tickets. The fakes are generally sold over the Internet and by scalpers near the stadium on gameday. To Vikings advise only purchasing tickets from authorized outlets that include the Vikings Ticket Office, Ticketmaster and the NFL TicketExchange. Ways to make sure your tickets are real include checking that the price on the stadium map on the team’s website matches the ticket price, and ensuring that a ticket number in sequential order is printed three times in red ink. Team officials says that those caught inside the Metrodome with a fake ticket will be asked to leave, and could be arrested. The Vikings take on division rival Green Bay on Sunday, with a victory meaning that Minnesota moves on to the playoffs.
