The search for a new Superintendent for the Comfrey School District will be getting underway again in the near future, with current Superintendent Allen Hoffman resigning when his current contract expires on June 30th of 2013. Hoffman had intended to resign as Comfrey superintendent at the end of the last school year, but had returned for one more year with a reduced-time contract. The Comfrey School Board had created a task force that is charged with bringing a recommendation to the board in January on how best to staff the school administratively moving into the future. In the past the school board has expressed interest in signing a superintendent to a 3-year or more contract. Hoffman had also served as the Comfrey School Principal, but that position was filled last year.
