Cause Of Rural Glencoe Fire 01 Dec 12

Investigators have determined that a fire in rural Glencoe earlier this week was apparently caused by a golf cart. The fire broke out at around 4pm Tuesday at a residential property on 140th Street in Bergen Township north of Glencoe, and firefighters from Glencoe and Plato responded to the scene. The fire was contained to 2 outbuildings on the property. The wall of one shed was damaged, while the other building was destroyed. The property inside that shed was also a total loss, including a lawn mower and the golf cart that is believed to have started the blaze. No one was injured.
