The Brown County Board is set to give its final approval to the county’s 2013 budget and tax levy today (TUE). The proposed property tax levy for next year for Brown County is a little-less than a 2% increase over this year. The county’s budget for 2013 is nearly $30.9-million. In other business today, the Brown County Board will be considering the annual salaries for county commissioners, as well as the county sheriff, auditor-treasurer, county recorder, family services director, highway engineer, and county administrator. Today’s Brown County Board meeting starts at 9am in the county courthouse in New Ulm.
