A 24-year-old Nicollet man faces felony drug charges after being pulled over for allegedly attempting to evade authorities. A Nicollet County Sheriff’s Deputy had stopped Alex Jay Gappa just outside the City of Nicollet after Gappa had reportedly sped up to 97 miles-per-hour in an attempt to evade the deputy. A search of Gappa’s vehicle allegedly uncovered several glass pipes and baggies containing methamphetamine residue. He has been charged with 5-degree possession, obstructing the legal process, careless driving, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gappa is on probation for a possession of meth conviction earlier this year as well, so he now faces up to 10 years in prison on the new possession charge.
