A Vernon Center woman faces multiple felony charges in Nicollet County Court for allegedly stealing prescription pills from a St. Peter residence. 24-year-old Elizabeth Norma Blackstad is accused of entering the home of an acquaintance several times and taking Oxycodone pills and other medication. The majority of the thefts occurred when the resident was not home. Blackstad has reportedly admitted to entering the home at least 5 times over the past 2 months and taking numerous pills, which she told police she has since consumed. She’s been charged with felony counts of burglary and theft, and faces up to 10 years in prison. Her first appearance in court will be December 11th.
